Explosive Rotational Hitting
An amazing program! Three years in development and production, it's become the FINEST hitting system we’ve ever used. The reason is 4 ingeniously designed drills that automatically teach the swing without over thinking. They are unique, unlike any we have used or observed. Using simple tools like a tee and guide rope, the bat head is guided properly along the path of the pitch. Young hitters rapidly progress from the drills, the tee and finally live pitching. Rotational hitting uses the big muscles of the lower body to provide explosive power. Because the bat head stays in the path of the pitch... the best contact and highest average are also achieved. We use ground breaking tools such as a simple guide rope... to help the hitters level off a looping swing and learn the FEEL of a proper power stroke. These superior mechanics enable smaller or less gifted hitters to outperform physically more mature opponents, setting the base of skills that will let them reach their highest potential.
The technique is easy to learn as we guide you thru the simple steps. First the drills teach the swing. Then we progress to tee work, short toss pitching and finally live mound pitching. The video finishes with an advanced section on hitting techniques.. Each level is designed to advance the skills a small amount keeping it fun and building confidence. We fully explain the mechanics but are careful not to make it a "physics class" . Our goal is to develop a good "feel" for the swing, not think technique. "Teaching Hitters, the Power Rotational Swing"
Learn and teach the Rotational Swing. For the past 30 years the weight shift theory of hitting has been the teaching standard.
But the greatest hitters for average AND power of the past… always possessed the natural rotational swing…Only today are these mechanics starting
to be taught and this is one of first tapes to teach and drill hitters of all ages in these fundamentals. A tight hip rotation and explosive wrist
roll create a level swing with maximum bat speed. The bat head tracks levels with the angle of the pitch resulting in better contact, less strikeouts,
a higher average and dramatically more extra base hits and homeruns. The rotational mechanics are fully explained thru an entertaining demonstration
of slow motion and action shots of youth and high school hitters. Using graphics and narration, the techniques are demonstrated in such parks as the
Minneapolis Metrodome and AutoZone Park. The hitters then learn a serious of daily drills that copy each step of the swing. Needing only enough area
to swing a light bat..these 5 minute daily drills are done year round and develop the muscle memory needed to swing instinctively and with confidence.
All of the focus can be directed to the pitcher and waiting for a strike in the proper zone of attack. The swing becomes an explosive reflex action.
We not only teach the hitter which pitch can be driven for maximum power and average but also how to attack all nine areas of the strike zone…including
hitting to opposite fields. The level swing also enables the hitter to drive consistently the most difficult of all pitches…the chest high fastball.
The compact swing enables the batter to wait on a pitch longer yet still deliver a powerful blow. Our 2 man drills are used for enhanced training and
we teach a "game situation" style of batting practice that any coach can implement.
Finally we introduce some awesome training aids that let a batter work on his own or one on one with a coach.
The simplicity of this system is its success. If a slump occurs, simply watch videotape of the swing, find
the step being done incorrectly and increase the repetitions for that particular daily drill.
Problems are understood and solutions are found thru proper drilling. This cutting edge technique is not only easy to learn but the tape is exciting for the
hitters to watch. From little league thru college level, hitters can reach a much higher level of performance thru these mechanics.
